Thermography is a state-of-the art medical early detection screening used to identify inflammation in the body. Medical thermography involves the use of an ultra-high definition digital thermal camera to capture images of skin temperature, inflammation and blood vessel patterns.

Inflammation is the primary indicator that our bodies are trying to fix something, fevers are often the first sign of sickness, and inflammation is a precursor to many diseases (cancer, heart disease, diabetes, stroke, arthritis, etc.)

Thermography is the only system that allows us to literally visualize inflammation and pain in the body, by providing a digital map of inflammation and blood flow. This early detection provides us with an opportunity to treat more preventatively, because we are able to screen for the very first signs of disease and health concerns. This makes a huge difference in the realm of breast health screening.

Thermography detects imbalances in your body. Inflammation can point to multiple disease processes and medical thermography is a great indicator. Thermography can screen for the following with no radiation, no contact.

  • Head and Neck
    • Sinuses
    • TMJ
    • Dental
    • Carotid Arteries
    • Thyroid
  • Breast/Pulmonary
  • Bladder
  • Cardiovascular
  • Abdomen (GI, Reproductive)
  • Orthopedic/Arthritis
  • Muscular-Skeletal
  • Varicosities

What to expect during your Thermography appointment:

  • You will undress in a private, climate-controlled room to allow the body to acclimate to room temperature. Only the areas to be images will need to be undressed.
  • You will be in front of the imageing camera and the technician will be behind a curtain verbally guiding you to proper positioning. You will need to sit, stand, and/or hold your hand up on top of your head for a number of images.
  • Your reports are interpreted and completed within 1-2 weeks. You will recieve a complimentary visit to go over the results.
